Project: Installation of Automated Sprinkler System
The proposed project is the installation of an automatic fire sprinkler system in existing six and eight story buildings as required by the City of San Francisco in an Ordinance No. 377-93 signed by the Mayor on December 2, 1993 requiring installation of automatic sprinklers within high-rise buildings in San Francisco.
The proposed automatic fire sprinkler will cover both buildings (445-447) with a new fire sprinkler system per NFPA 13 to comply with all state and local laws and regulations including complete plans, engineering permits and fees as required. Provision of a 300 GPM Fire Pump at 50 PSI for Standpipe System is included in this package.
The following items of works will be done by others:
New 6 - inch water supply
Electrical works for fire pump
Removal and re-installation of existing suspended ceiling and GRID System
Painting and Patching
The project shall be bid as one package on a Design-Built contract and shall include all parts and labor necessary to install the automated, overhead fire sprinkler system as required by the Philippine Center Management Board, Inc.
Description of Labor:
Provide new fire sprinkler system on 3rd through 8th floors on east wing and 3rd through 6th floors on west wing.
Work shall be performed during normal business hours.
This also includes installing a new 4” San Francisco rated backflow preventor and fire pump system.
All existing fire sprinkler heads will be upgraded to quick response style heads to match new system.
Sprinkler System will be installed per NFPA 13 to comply with all state and local laws
and regulations.
Exclusions:
All electrical by others
Painting, patching, or repairs by others
Construction of soffits to conceal any exposed pipe
Adequate water to be supplied by others
